Baltimore is getting a new 911 system that uses artificial intelligence.

The company that purchased the contract, NWN Carousel, said the system would be able to use artificial intelligence to translate more than 140 languages.

NWN Carousel also said it would be able to get calls to police 90% faster in some cases.

The system reportedly cost $6.5 million. It will be paid for by the state of Maryland.
