Exeter, Rhode Island, April 23, 2013NWN Carousel, a leader in managed services, mobility, unified communications and visual communications, announced it will lead three presentations at the International Avaya Users Group (IAUG) CONVERGE 2013 conference, which will take place in Orlando between June 3 and 7. Each session will be led by a Carousel industry expert and will run for 60 minutes.

The following sessions will run during the conference:

Avaya and Lync Interoperability – What’s Under the Hood?
Presented by Tom Herr of NWN Carousel (June 4, 10:30-11:30 am, Naples 3 Room)
Customers are looking for best-in-class unified communications solutions, but integrating technologies from different vendors can be tricky, especially when an update is in play. Providers who are informed and who understand the nuances of each product’s capabilities and limitations can offer customers up-front plans and evaluations to ensure the separate technologies meet their needs before deployment begins. Tom Herr, Carousel’s lead architect for SIP solutions, will discuss the challenges and best practices associated with integrating Avaya unified communications solutions with Microsoft Lync.

Overcoming the Barriers to Funding
Presented by Jason Aubee of NWN Carousel (June 5, 3:15-4:45 pm, Tampa 3 Room)
As technology upgrades or migrations become increasingly necessary, one of the stumbling blocks IT departments face is getting executives to sign off on the funding. Without that final “okay,” IT projects tend to get stuck in the mud. Jason Aubee, director of strategic consulting at NWN Carousel, will discuss how IT professionals can present a business case for their IT project budgets to improve the odds of getting approval from senior management. Aubee will demonstrate how to pinpoint an internal champion to support the cause, illustrate ROI numbers, and pitch a case that senior management and executives won’t be able to refuse.

Data Center Traffic Flow Takes a Turn: Efficiencies Ahead!
Presented by Mike Burgess of NWN Carousel (June 7, 10:30-12:00, Sun 5 & 6 Rooms)
Virtualization has caused a major shift in data center traffic flow, and the opportunity to achieve low latency and high efficiency is something all businesses are interested in. The resulting “open network fabric” is allowing converged applications to share a single network with fewer “hops” and is backed by higher redundancy for stronger ROI. Mike Burgess, director of pre-sales engineering at NWN Carousel, will explore the potential benefits of this promising new approach to traffic flow in the data center.
