Exeter, Rhode Island, June 13, 2012 — NWN Carousel, a leader in voice, video and data networking solutions, announced it has hired Mark Flood and Michael Barnett, two sales experts formerly of British Telecom to lead inside sales and the New/Penn/Del sales region, respectively.

Mark Flood has joined Carousel as the vice president of inside sales, where he will drive the strategy and effectiveness of the company’s inside sales initiatives. A seasoned professional who was most recently senior vice president of sales at BT Conferencing, Flood is already very familiar with Carousel’s solutions and has a track record of managing large sales teams towards successful sales growth.
“Carousel is an industry leader with expertise and market recognition in the converged communications and collaboration space. I am very excited to be joining the company as it continues to grow and drive new technologies into the market,” Flood said. “With an inside sales team that was recently expanded to 80 individuals, Carousel is well positioned to significantly increase its outreach and lead generation initiatives to keep up with industry demand.”
With more than 20 years of sales and management experience in diverse roles, Flood has worked directly with Fortune 500 clients. In his role at BT Conferencing, Flood played a key role in driving the highly profitable business to over $500 million in annual revenue. Prior to that, Flood held senior executive and sales roles at Convergent Group, Cambridge Technology Partners, Keane Inc., United Engineers, and Southern New England Telephone Co.
Meanwhile, Michael Barnett has joined Carousel as its regional sales director for the New/Penn/Del region. Formerly the vice president of global account management at BT Conferencing where he managed numerous global accounts and drove more than $35 million of annual revenue, Barnett joins Carousel with a track record of proven sales and revenue growth.

Prior to joining BT Telecom, Barnett was the vice president of sales and operations at Smack Apparel Inc. Before that, he worked in multiple roles at V-SPAN Inc., where he progressed to increasingly senior sales and customer relationship roles.
