The Tech Collective is proud to announce that Jason Albuquerque, Chief Information Officer & Chief Security Officer at NWN Carousel, is the 2019 Board Member of the Year.

Jason has served on the board for 2 years. In his tenure he helped form Tech Collective’s Cyber Security steering committee and has served as its chair. In addition to shaping all cyber security programming, this steering committee has helped the Tech Collective define our role as Rhode Island’s Technical Authority.

By creating cyber security programming for technical leaders, practitioners, and small businesses, that don’t have on-staff technology professionals, the Tech Collective has developed a model to support our members and the greater RI community.

Jason is an active member of our CIO/CISO Forum and has provided excellent recommendations for both topics and speakers. He has been influential in providing the groundwork for our “Rhode to Resilience” small business Cyber Security program and our Certified Ethical Hacker Training.

As an active member of Congressman Langevin’s Security Advisory Board and frequent contributor to Security Weekly, Jason keeps his finger on the pulse of the ever-changing security landscape. He has been an extremely vocal advocate for the Tech Collective both on and offline.

The Tech Collective is grateful to Jason for the generous gift of his time and talent.
