If you could choose one word to describe the Carousel culture, what would it be, and why?

Fast-paced. This coincides with my favorite part of being a Carousel team member in that as a team we are all striving to ensure we are taking care of both our internal and external customers. When hurdles present themselves in an effort to derail a project or sales engagement, we come together as a team to understand how we can resolve these issues and move forward.

What are you most excited for regarding the future of the technology industry?

Not necessarily related to the IT Technology landscape, but I’m most excited to see how technology, in general, continues to provide innovative treatments for cancer.  Leveraging Artificial Intelligence, focused on blood biomarkers to predict a person’s response to cancer treatment or Interactive Applications that people can leverage to accelerate screenings for cancer is what fascinates me. This is a personal interest to me, and I look forward to seeing how technology will continue to provide targeted treatments that will help patients and their loved ones all across the world.

Who inspires you and why?

Anthony Bourdain. For those who know me personally, I tend to be more of an observer and an introvert.  So when it comes to food, I am not much of a “hey, let me try something new” kind of guy.  But watching Mr. Bourdain over the years, he has inspired me to travel, try some new and different foods, and more importantly, put my guard down, challenging myself to know people on a deeper level.  For our next great adventure, we are planning a trip to Asia with stops in Thailand, Singapore, and China. In previous travels to developing countries, it amazes me how nice people are who have so very little, compared to what we have here in the United States. Next time you are out and you happen to walk by someone, greet them with a “good morning “ or just say “hello”; the world can definitely use a little more of that.

What is your favorite part about being a #CarouselCrew member?

The opportunity to work with some of the brightest engineering talent here at Carousel.  The team always goes above and beyond to help our customers succeed in the various engagements we are involved in. Most importantly, we work together as a team regardless of the time of day. If someone reaches out for help, there is always a response. That in itself is my favorite part of being a Carousel team member.

What would a “perfect” day look like for you?

Being in a football stadium watching Notre Dame absolutely annihilate Alabama to win the National Championship. Reality is reality though, so I would settle on Notre Dame beating anybody to win a National Championship; hopefully it’ll happen again in my lifetime.

Go ahead and retire already Nick Saban.

Sincerely, All of College Football.
