Get to know us! At Carousel, we’re more than 1,300 #CarouselCrew members strong, spanning 27 locations across the country. Each month, we’re excited to share a glimpse of our talented team members.

This week, meet Sean Deasy (Day-cee, not Daisy or Deezee as many think!), Solutions Engineer Manager located in Flemington, NJ. We sat down with Sean to learn more about his favorite technology and what he is currently binge-watching.

Sean Deasy with fiancé Tracey Lachapelle.

What do you consider the best invention/technology of all time?

Hyperconvergence, especially the HPE SimpliVity 380. Through this, I’m able to expand or shrink configurations for my clients as their needs evolve. And it offers advanced functionality, while also significantly reducing capacity utilization.

Reach out to Carousel today to see how our talent, partner affiliations, and thousands of certifications can help your IT goals.

What are you currently reading/listening to/watching?

I’m reading data sheets while listening to everything from Puddle of Mudd, Theory of a Deadman, and Depeche Mode, to The Cure, Deadmau5, and Tiesto while binge watching the latest series release of anything on Netflix. The last series was Peaky Blinders.

What are your top 3 life highlights?

1. Serving my country in the United States Navy on-board the USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN-72) aircraft carrier. 2. raising my two sons Declan and Chase. 3. My last trip to London, England (Mind the Gap) representing Carousel at HPE Discover and participating in a CIO reception with Meg Whitman.

What is most exciting about being a #CarouselCrew member?

The ability to work with so many talented individuals from sales support, technical directors, and fulfillment, to contracts, warehouse, professional services, managed services, and subject matter experts in each business unit, etc. It’s exciting to be part of mini teams that are bringing Carousel, Source, and Atrion together to make us a strong single company that we’ll grow into a billion dollar company.

What is the best advice you’ve ever received?

In life there is more than one route to get your final destination. Don’t take NO as an acceptable answer. Keep asking the same question to multiple individuals until you get the answer you need.
