#CarouselCrew: Meet Lauren Hill, Sales Operations Manager
Field Marketing Manager
Lauren and her husband Drew enjoy a trip to Nashville.
Get to know us! At Carousel, we’re more than 1,300 #CarouselCrew members strong, spanning 27 locations across the country. Each month, we’re excited to share a glimpse of our talented team members.
This week, meet Lauren Hill, sales operations manager, with Carousel for more than five years. We sat down with Lauren to learn more about what she likes most about Carousel and some of the best advice she’s received.
What do you enjoy most about your role at Carousel?
Helping people. Working in Sales Ops gives me the ability to work with all different people in all different departments, so I never know what the day will bring. I love that about my job. I am constantly learning new things and am able to help other people achieve their goals. In my role, I am able to play a part in helping sales with their clients by giving them the tools they need, which in turn is good for all of us as a company.
What technology or solution do you enjoy talking about the most?
It is so hard to choose just one, but I would say video/collaboration. The thing I love most about working for a technology company is that we can work from anywhere and still keep it personal. We can be always on and never miss a beat. Tools such as Cisco WebEx allow us to collaborate together as if we were in the same room!

Where is your favorite place in the world?
I love traveling and experiencing different places. However, of all of the places I have visited in my life, I would have to say Nashville is by far one of the best places EVER. I am a country music lover so that is what drew me to the city in the first place, but it is so much more than that. It is just such a fun, creative, and friendly city with so much history. I would recommend visiting if you ever get the chance!
What does a “perfect” day look like for you?
A perfect day for me would be spent on the beach with a good book and my two favorite boys (my husband and my English bulldog Winston). I can’t get enough of the warm weather and there is just something about laying in the sun with a good book that makes me forget about some of life’s stressors!

What is the best advice you’ve ever received?
“Communication is key.” Being able to communicate effectively in your life, whether it be personal or professional, is SO important. As human beings, we let our emotions get the best of us sometimes and it’s natural; but how we see things and the people around us see things are very different. You will never be able to solve a problem if you can’t put into words how you are feeling. Let the other person know what you’re thinking so that you can figure out the best resolution together.
